The mission of Epworth UMC goes beyond the church doors to the needs of the community to do that work of discipleship, of teaching and mentoring, of helping people to understand that we all are beloved children of God. We are called to minister in the name of Jesus Christ to those in need, care for those who are suffering, and bear witness to our Christian experience to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord. We seek to live and love as disciples of Jesus Christ, the One who valued and loved all people. We are all called to make disciples and love all others as we love ourselves.

"Creed: What Christians Believe and Why" by Adam Hamilton

We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Adam Hamilton believes that some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles’ Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs. In this book for Lent, Easter, and beyond, Hamilton considers important questions of life, reality, and truth. He explores not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe it and why it matters.

"Creed" begins Wed. Feb 22.  Class will be offered at both 11am and 6pm; facilitated by Pastor Allen.  Cost of book is $14.  Register through church office.
